Warehouse Supervisor Full Time Auburn Hills, MI, US 30+ days ago Requisition ID: 1273 JOB SUMMARY The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inbound receiving, outbound shipping, accurate inventory control, and a safe, organized work environment. This role leads warehouse staff, enforces safety and 5S standards. ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Inbound Receiving Supervise the receipt of incoming materials and products Verify quantities, inspect for damage, and ensure accurate documentation Coordinate put‑away activities to maintain efficient storage Picking, Packing, and Shipping Oversee picking, packing, and shipping operations Ensure orders are shipped accurately, on time, and in compliance with company standards Coordinate with carriers and internal teams as needed Inventory Management Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct cycle counts and physical inventories Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies Ensure proper inventory rotation and storage practices 5S & Warehouse Organization Implement and sustain 5S standards (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse layout Drive continuous improvement in warehouse processes Safety & PPE Compliance Enforce all safety policies and procedures Ensure all team members wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times Conduct safety training and report incidents or hazards Staff Supervision Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staff Assign daily tasks and monitor performance Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety Administrative & Reporting Duties Use Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) to prepare reports, track KPIs, and manage documentation Communicate effectively with management and other departments Perform additional job‑related tasks as directed by management REQUIREMENTS 3–5 years of shipping automotive experience Experience with logistics warehouse – 2 years Previous supervisor experience – 2 years Knowledge of SAP system – 1–2 years Computer experience is a must INTERNAL TRAINING REQUIREMENTS Quality Policy Health & Safety Orientation Quality Objectives New Hire or New Position Orientation Samsung Philosophy and Values QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS Comply with requirements of the Quality Operating System (QOS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 Identify concerns and initiate corrective actions (through verification) relating to product, process and quality systems Initiate preventative and continuous improvement actions relating to product, process and quality systems HEALTH & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS Follow safe work procedures established by the Company; and follow the OH&S directions of the head of your department or supervisor Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety systems Wear and maintain the PPE as directed, as indicated in a risk assessment, or as required in OH&S procedures Use other safety and emergency equipment provided in the workplace as directed or as required in OH&S procedures Assist with the preparation of risk assessments Conduct risk assessments before commencing work or research to identify, assess and control hazards Report OH&S problems Report workplace hazards to the supervisor as soon as possible after they occur Report injury or illness arising from workplace activities using the incident/injury reporting system as soon as possible after the incident Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions #J-18808-Ljbffr
