Yes Job Description Summary Job Description Summary: Performs a variety of tasks related to maintaining the University's buildings, facilities, and grounds. Hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with some weekend rotation. (Weekend rotations are primarily during the academic year.) Essential Duties Picks up trash and/or litter from University buildings and grounds; empties trash receptacles. May sweep and mop rooms and hallways; may dust and perform general cleaning of rooms; may clean windows. May vacuum and shampoo carpets; may strip and wax floors; may clean and sanitize restrooms. May mow, trim, and rake grounds; may remove shrubs and trees. May sow grass and renovate turf areas; may apply herbicides to lawn. May pick up and/or deliver equipment and supplies. May perform cleaning/washing duties in dining hall dishroom or pot and pan area. Minimum Qualifications Requires a high school diploma or GED. No experience required. May require driver's license. This position requires the ability to successfully pass a Post-Offer Pre-Employment (POPES) physical.
