With a strong focus on client retention, revenue growth, and service excellence, you will have a direct impact on long-term business success.
Accountabilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, consultative partnerships across an assigned portfolio of 12–20 clients, serving as the primary point of contact throughout the client lifecycle.
- Client Retention and Revenue Growth: Develop and execute account strategies that strengthen client loyalty, retain existing business, identify upselling opportunities, and increase revenue.
- End-to-End Client Support: Oversee client relationships from implementation through day-to-day service delivery, issue resolution, contract renewals, and ongoing account development.
- Strategic Client Advisory: Understand client objectives, anticipate emerging needs, and recommend relevant healthcare benefit programs and solutions that support business goals.
- Executive and Broker Engagement: Maintain relationships with senior-level client stakeholders and brokers, ensuring effective communication, alignment, and satisfaction with service delivery.
- Sales Collaboration: Partner with sales executives during finalist presentations and, when required, present solutions to prospective clients to demonstrate value and support new business development.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal departments and project teams to resolve client challenges, improve service delivery, and implement initiatives that benefit clients and the broader client management organization.
- Market and Industry Awareness: Monitor healthcare benefits trends, market developments, and competitive offerings to identify opportunities and position appropriate solutions.
- Performance and Service Excellence: Proactively manage client expectations, resolve problems, and coordinate internal resources to deliver measurable results and consistently exceed service standards.
- Account Strategy and Planning: Evaluate portfolio performance, identify risks and opportunities, and maintain a results-oriented approach to client satisfaction, retention, and growth.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree with at least five years of experience in the third-party administration (TPA) or health insurance industry; alternatively, a high school diploma with at least nine years of client management experience in TPA, health insurance, or a comparable client-facing environment.
- Healthcare Benefits Expertise: Strong understanding of self-funded health plans, employee benefits, and the third-party administration environment. Familiarity with stop-loss insurance is an advantage.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of federal laws and regulations governing employee benefits, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
- Client Relationship Skills: Demonstrated ability to develop trusted relationships, manage complex client accounts, and deliver high-quality service while balancing client needs with business objectives.
- Executive Communication: Confidence interacting with senior-level executives, brokers, and other stakeholders, with the ability to influence decisions and build productive partnerships.
- Presentation Skills: Strong presentation and facilitation abilities, including the capacity to communicate solutions clearly to existing and prospective clients.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively and professionally.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical judgment and the ability to identify root causes, resolve client issues, assess risks, and develop practical solutions.
- Organization and Time Management: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize competing demands while managing multiple client relationships.
- Commercial Mindset: A results-oriented, self-motivated approach, with a proven ability to retain accounts, identify growth opportunities, and contribute to revenue objectives.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively across internal teams, coordinate resources, and influence others to achieve positive client outcomes.
- Preferred Qualification: A valid state insurance license is an advantage.
- Travel Requirements: Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% as required for client meetings and business activities.
- Remote Work Eligibility: Candidates must reside within the continental United States, excluding Alaska, California, Hawaii, and New York.
Benefits:
