Plant Maintenance Manager

Position Summary: Del Conca USA is seeking to fill the role of Maintenance Manager for our ceramic tile manufacturing facility.As Maintenance Manager, you are responsible for driving the overall execution of the engineering and maintenance excellence in the manufacturing facility, including proactive and effective maintenance, and the experience of everyone onsite. You are also responsible for leading a team of maintenance professionals to meet safety, quality, and production goals of the facility. In this role, you will provide vision and leadership by planning and directing the efforts of the Maintenance team members to maintain site equipment, instrumentation, utilities, and facilities in compliance with good engineering. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensures all safety protocols are adhered to. Supervises hourly personnel involved with maintenance, repair, programming and servicing of plant facilities and equipment. Collects and records data such as requisitions, time spent, tag information, PM, and machine documents as required. Manages preventative maintenance program and helps determine ways to run equipment more efficiently. Responsible for maintenance of spare parts inventory. Regularly conduct pre‑shift maintenance objective meetings. Develop and implement training procedures and plans to train employees in new processes and equipment as well as improving skills. Analyze problems that arise and determine actions that will minimize the problems, decrease costs and/or improve yields, recommend changes, upon approval, implement those changes. Maintain performance records on employees, routinely communicate performance to employees (including performance reviews) and coaches’ employees on methods and techniques for improving performance, including reviewing time records. Evaluate performance of employees, and discipline employees according to company policy as needed. Schedule employees work time and vacation time to ensure proper coverage for department. Work with operating departments and support operation to coordinate ongoing support of the plant. Performs other duties as required. Qualifications: A bachelor's or technical degree in engineering administration or operations is preferred and/or at least 5+ years’ experience in a maintenance manager role. At least 3+ years’ experience in ceramic tile manufacturing industry (required). A sharp eye for identifying weak points in processes and organizational structures. A strategic and analytical mindset. An excellent communicator with top‑notch presentation skills. A thorough understanding of the latest process enhancement strategies. Leadership and mentoring skills. Confidence in your abilities to lead organizational change. Possess thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS systems (SAP preferred). Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and/or electronic equipment and systems required. Possess advanced technical skills in the mechanical and/or electrical fields (e.g., PLCs, instrumentation, mechanical systems, etc.). Must be able to lead resource planning and management efforts in a manufacturing environment. Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, work order process, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, etc. Capable of communicating and expressing ideas clearly and concisely, in both written and oral formats. Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment. Competency: Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems and industrial maintenance. Adaptability: Capable of working independently and adjusting to changing priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The Maintenance Manager works primarily in a manufacturing and office environment within the tile production facility. While much of the role involves administrative and supervisory duties in an office setting, frequent presence on the production floor is required to oversee operations, coordinate maintenance, and monitor safety and quality. The production area includes exposure to heat, dust, moisture, and moderate to loud noise levels typical of a tile manufacturing process. The position may require walking, standing, or climbing stairs for extended periods to observe and inspect equipment or processes. The Maintenance Manager must remain alert to potential safety hazards, moving equipment, and forklift traffic, and is always expected to model safe work practices.
