Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients presenting with mood disorders, assessing the intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms to establish a clear understanding of their mental health status.

• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring that their specific goals and preferences guide the therapeutic process.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address clients' unique challenges.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and families concerning mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies, empowering them to play an active role in their recovery.

• Regularly monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to reflect their evolving needs.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LMFT at Sacred Heart, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Your expertise will also help support marginalized groups, including those who are homeless, refugees, or victims of domestic violence. Qualifications\n

• An active and current license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New Jersey.
