Human Resources Coordinator/Assistant

Job Details Job Location: Main Campus Locations – Atlanta, GA 30329 Education Level: High School/GED Equivalent Job Category: Human Resources Position: Human Resources Coordinator/Assistant Scope The HR Coordinator/Assistant administers a variety of human resources activities and programs, including recruiting, compensation, benefits, training, and workplace safety. The HR Coordinator/Assistant assists with special projects related to the HR function of the organization and provides quality administrative and operational support to ensure delivery of exceptional service to internal and external clients. Because the position involves handling employees' personal information, the HR Coordinator/Assistant must maintain proper security for all employee files and follow privacy procedures at all times. Responsibilities Administer new employee pre‑boarding, ensuring proactive and proper follow‑up and completion of all pre‑boarding requirements prior to hire date. Answer employee questions regarding HR matters such as insurance, payroll, retirement plans, hiring procedures, and company policy. Manage new‑hire orientations, HR events and assist with open enrollment for benefits such as health insurance. Assist with benefit administration. Assist with proofreading and revising HR forms and handbooks. Assist with developing HR‑related internal controls. Make meeting arrangements as required. Assist with auditing HR‑related invoices and generate appropriate reports for accurate reconciliation; process all invoices for timely payment. Prepare and email offer letters. Coordinate employee surveys. Maintain high levels of customer service with clients both internal and external. Respond to customer inquiries within one business day. Ensure confidentiality of all employee data, demonstrating the highest standards of personal ethics. Handle client requests through responsiveness, follow‑up, and escalation. Prepare new‑hire and benefit packets, ensuring that the most current enrollment/application documents are included. Assist with organizing the HR Department, creating and auditing files. Assist with developing and generating reports as requested. Competencies Principles and practices of personnel administration; problem‑solving; interpersonal skills; written and oral communication; planning/organizing; ability to research and analyze various types of data; strong customer service skills; detail oriented. Qualifications High School degree. Microsoft Office proficiency. Knowledge of federal and state employment laws preferred. Experience with an HRIS to include an ATS preferred (Paycom). Current or previous experience in behavioral health or healthcare preferred.
