Maintenance & Facilities Coordinator

About the Role

We're hiring a Maintenance & Facilities Coordinator to keep our Phoenix-area residential properties in great shape. You'll report to our Project Manager and handle the hands-on side of property care: repairs, inspections, preventive maintenance, turnovers and vendor support. This is an entry-level role for an educated individual who likes working with their hands, solving practical problems and seeing a job through to the end.

What You'll Do

- Perform general repairs and upkeep, including drywall, paint, fixtures, hardware, doors and minor carpentry

- Conduct routine property inspections and walkthroughs, with photos and condition notes

- Carry out preventive maintenance such as filter changes, smoke and CO detector checks, seasonal checklists and basic system checks

- Handle turnover and make-ready work between occupants, including touch-ups, punch items and cleaning coordination

- Meet vendors and contractors on site, provide access, explain the issue and confirm the work was completed

- Recognize when an issue needs a licensed trade and escalate it to the Project Manager

- Support the Project Manager on renovation and repair projects with site prep, punch list items and on-site help

- Request and collect vendor quotes for review

- Log work orders, maintenance activity and open items in our project management system

- Purchase and pick up materials, parts and supplies

- Keep tools, equipment and common parts stocked and organized

- Respond to occasional after-hours or urgent property issues

What We're Looking For

- Associate's degree required ;
Bachelor's degree preferred

- 1+ year of hands-on handyman, maintenance, construction or trade experience

- Solid general handyman skills and comfort with basic tools

- Comfort with basic plumbing and electrical fixture repairs is a plus

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to document work clearly

- Reliable, organized and able to work independently with changing priorities

- Clear, professional communication with vendors, contractors and residents

- Discretion and integrity when working in occupied homes

Requirements

- Valid driver's license and your own reliable vehicle

- Must live in the greater Phoenix area

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and work outdoors, including during Arizona summers

- Availability for occasional after-hours or urgent property needs

- Must pass a background check and driving record (MVR) check

- Comfort with Google Suite, Asana or similar software

Compensation and Benefits

- Starting salary $60,000, full-time W-2
