RN - Hospice

Overview Providence Home Health/Hospice is hiring an RN for hospice care in the Medford, OR area. This position travels to the Jackson and Josephine counties to provide compassionate end‑of‑life care for patients and families. The RN works under the direction of the Hospice Clinical Supervisor and follows the nursing process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities Accountable for direct and indirect quality care for patients and families of all ages, individualized to the patient’s needs. Manage a caseload of patients within the hospice service area. Coordinate patient care activities with other members of the health care team in a collegial relationship to promote comfort and a peaceful death. Use professional development as an integral part of nursing practice. Assist patients in achieving a comfortable death and support families through the end‑of‑life process. Qualifications - Required Oregon Registered Nurse license upon hire. National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire. 1 year of medical/surgical experience; recent acute or long‑term care experience. Experience in end‑of‑life care. Qualifications - Preferred Recent oncology, home hospice, or home health experience.
