We are currently seeking a Tech Consultant - Data Engineer to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Job Title: Technology Consultant – Data Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise data pipelines and data platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Python, SQL, ETL/ELT, cloud data platforms, and modern Data Engineering technologies .

The role will collaborate with Data Architects, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and application teams to build reliable data ingestion and transformation solutions while ensuring data quality, performance, security, and scalability.

Day to Day Job Duties

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Build data ingestion, transformation, and integration solutions across multiple data sources.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and Python-based data processing solutions .
• Build and maintain data warehouse, data lake, and Lakehouse solutions.
• Develop batch and real-time/streaming data pipelines.
• Implement source-to-target mappings and complex data transformation logic.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
• Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures, data-quality issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement data orchestration, scheduling, monitoring, and alerting.
• Support production data pipelines and perform root cause analysis for critical issues.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD deployments, and production releases.
• Maintain data mappings, lineage, technical designs, and operational documentation.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL/ELT development, and enterprise data integration .
• 4+ years of experience with Python, SQL, data transformation, and large-scale data processing .
• 3+ years of experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud-based data services .
• 3+ years of experience with Spark/PySpark, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar modern data platforms .

• Data Quality: Validation, Reconciliation, Profiling & Monitoring

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, or Google Cloud Dataflow .
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, or Azure Synapse.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with CDC, SCD Type 1/2, schema evolution, and incremental data processing .
• Experience developing high-volume streaming pipelines using Kafka or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of dbt and modern ELT development practices.
• Experience implementing data quality and observability frameworks.
• Understanding of data governance, lineage, metadata management, and security.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to AI/ML data pipelines, feature engineering, embeddings, or vector data is an advantage.
• Experience working in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, Retail, or other enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
