About Coast Psychology Coast Psychology is a group private practice in Oyster Bay, New York, specializing in neuropsychological assessment and evidence-based therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. We're a collaborative, clinically rigorous, and compassionate team. Position Overview We're seeking a fully licensed, doctoral-level psychologist (PhD or PsyD) with expertise in both neuropsychological assessment and individual therapy. This is a full-time W-2 position with a minimum of 24 dedicated face-to-face clinical hours. Work from home 2 days a week, with flexible scheduling and two required evenings. The schedule is designed to be sustainable, with room for a life outside the office. The ideal candidate works enthusiastically with children ages 4 and up for both testing and therapy, brings genuine skill in neuropsychological assessment, and wants to be part of a practice that's growing intentionally. This isn't a placement - we're building a team. This role requires willingness and enthusiasm to work with children ages 4+ for both therapy and testing. Candidates who prefer an adult-only caseload aren't a fit for this position. This role also isn't a fit for clinicians intending to establish their own independent practice. We're investing in the people who join us, and we're looking for clinicians who want to grow with us long-term. Schedule & Structure Total weekly hours: 30-40 hrs/week (range dependent on individual caseload and efficiency), minimum 24 direct clinical hours (therapy + testing combined) Hybrid: On-site at our Oyster Bay office 3 days a week; remote work can scale depending on referral needs Working weeks: Approximately 48 clinical working weeks per year PTO: 4 weeks, inclusive of holidays and sick time Employment: Full W-2 employee with all applicable protections and employer contributions Responsibilities Neuropsychological Assessment Complete a minimum of 1 comprehensive psychological evaluation per week (up to 2+ for those seeking higher earning potential) Administer, score, and interpret a full neuropsychological and psychoeducational battery for clients ages 4 and up Conduct ADOS-2 and related autism diagnostic assessments Write thorough, clearly articulated evaluation reports with evidence-based recommendations, accessible to families, educators, and referring providers Present findings at CSE meetings or due process hearings Accurately differentiate ADHD, ASD, learning disabilities, and other neurodevelopmental conditions Therapy Provide individual therapy for children ages 4+, adolescents, and adults Apply advanced, evidence-based CBT and related frameworks Maintain a consistent therapy caseload, secondary to testing responsibilities Documentation & Compliance Complete your own clinical documentation, evaluation reports, and progress notes in a timely manner Maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA and applicable professional and licensing standards Practice & Team Responsibilities Participate in weekly clinical supervision and case consultation Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and external providers for coordinated care Supervise junior clinicians as needed and as interest allows Participate in practice outreach events and community marketing initiatives Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current in assessment and treatment Compensation & Benefits Compensation range: $120,000-$180,000 total compensation annually - base salary plus variable pay that scales with licensure level and years of post-licensure experience Testing performance bonus: Paid quarterly on top of base salary Earning potential: Total cash grows meaningfully with evaluation volume Annual increases: Transparent, structured pay progression tied to tenure and years of post-licensure experience Additional benefits: Paid Family Medical Leave and short-term disability coverage Professional liability insurance covered by the practice - no tail coverage needed CEU stipend 401(k) / retirement, with matching Personal computer provided Full access to neuropsychological testing materials and software Premium Oyster Bay office space in a National Historic Landmark building, walking distance to shops and restaurants Dedicated receptionists Billing support Administrative and scheduling coordination support Marketing support and an established referral pipeline Weekly supervision available to all clinicians 4 weeks PTO, inclusive of holidays and sick time Required Qualifications PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, or a closely related field Full, unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in New York State Willingness and enthusiasm to work with children ages 4+ for both therapy and assessment Formal ADOS-2 training and demonstrated assessment experience Strong clinical background with children, adolescents, and neurodivergent populations Advanced training in CBT and at least one related evidence-based modality Skilled differential diagnosis across ADHD, ASD, learning disabilities, and related neurodevelopmental conditions Exceptional written communication — able to make complex findings clear to families and referring professionals Availability for evening hours and commitment to the practice's scheduling requirements Expected minimum two-year commitment to the role Preferred Qualifications Board certification in neuropsychology (ABPP-CN), or eligibility under Houston Conference Guidelines Postdoctoral training in assessment with a pediatric/adolescent emphasis Experience presenting at CSE meetings or in due process proceedings Established referral relationships in the Long Island area Why Coast Psychology A sustainable schedule 30-40 hours per week, with a minimum of 24 face-to-face clinical hours.
