What’s a typical day as Insurance Policy Clerk? You’ll be:

• Familiarizing yourself with Auto and Home insurance carriers and underwriting guidelines
• Writing business in Home and Auto insurance lines; preparing quote sheets for Commercial lines
• Providing professional and courteous customer service by phone and in person
• Handling quotes, endorsements, and payments for Home, Auto, Boat, Motorcycle insurance policies
• Managing receipts on insurance and rental payments, and making daily bank deposits
• Logging every call, payment, transaction, and document into a data management system
• Comparing premiums for agency-billed and direct-billed clients and requoting as needed
• Assisting with rental payments and applications for prospective tenants
• Performing secretarial duties, managing messages and tasks, and supporting office management
• Managing affairs in the absence of management and assisting with incidentals as needed

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have prior experience or strong interest in insurance policy administration (Home, Auto, Commercial lines)
• Possess excellent phone and people skills with a professional and kind demeanor
• Are detail-oriented and adept at managing data and documentation accurately
• Have basic knowledge of office administration and are comfortable with multi-tasking
• Are willing to grow into prospecting and lead generation once licensed
• Can work full-time hours, Monday through Friday (9am-5pm)
