We're seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract opportunity working one-on-one with a 5-year-old student who attends school Monday through Friday from 9:05 am to 3:35 pm. This is a chance to combine your clinical expertise with the nurturing environment of a school, helping to ensure the student’s health, safety, and full participation in school life.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license and current CPR/BLS certification
• Prior experience in school nursing or pediatric clinical settings
• Familiarity with monitoring central lines (no direct care required during school hours)
• Comfort with jejunostomy care and monitoring of an ostomy bag
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, healthcare teams, and families
• Ability to create an inclusive, supportive atmosphere for students with complex medical needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitor the student’s health status throughout the school day, with particular attention to her central line and jejunostomy/ostomy bag
• Respond promptly and appropriately to any health concerns or emergencies that may arise
• Maintain close documentation and clear communication with the student’s care team and guardians
• Educate faculty and staff, as appropriate, about the student’s needs while maintaining confidentiality
• Support the student’s participation in classroom and school activities, promoting safety and confidence
