Funeral Director

Magnolia Funeral Chapel - Northport - is searching for a compassionate and creative Funeral Director/Embalmer who is able to deliver the highest level of customer service to the families we serve. This individual will be responsible for caring for the deceased in a respectful manner while performing tasks related to preparing the decedent for the final celebration of life with their loved ones. Essential Functions and Competencies Meets with client families to listen, educate, and arrange personalized funeral services, and ensures their experience with the business is of the highest quality Prepares and embalms decedents for interment, cremation, or other disposition in conformity with legal requirements Contributes to the overall efficiency of the location by maintaining open and effective communication and maintaining accurate and timely client files Acts to improve market share through participation in community events, groups, and/or organizations, and other community relationships as assigned by your supervisor Carries out other projects/duties as assigned Works on-call/first call, in rotation as assigned Ensures proper paperwork, including permits and certificates, are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with relevant laws and regulations Conducts and attends funeral services regularly Lead all post-service follow-up as needed Other duties as needed or assigned Required Education and Experience Funeral Director and Embalmer licenses required 2+ years of funeral industry experience Knowledge of current federal, state, and local regulations related to the funeral industry Seniority Level Associate Employment Type Full-time Job Function Customer Service and Consulting Industries Consumer Services Benefits Relocation Assistance Health benefits Paid vacation 401(k) Medical insurance Vision insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr
