Performs customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loans and safe deposit box payments efficiently. Processes cash transactions such as cashing checks, verifying currency, balancing cash drawers and completing night deposits with a high level of accuracy. Responds to and resolves customer inquiries and concerns using standard procedures and escalates to management as necessary. Engages in lobby leadership by orchestrating customer flow, warmly welcoming customers, and guiding them appropriately. Understands customer banking preferences and educates customers on self‑service/digital options that meet their needs. Acts as a customer advocate by conducting needs‑based conversations, offering financial and digital solutions, or referring the customer to the appropriate partner. Makes sound decisions and provides timely problem resolution, escalating more difficult issues to management. Ensures compliance with operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act to minimize risk and protect customers. Verifies customer identities by following authentication policies and procedures. Balances cash drawers, ATMs, TCDs/TCRs as necessary. Adheres to safe deposit box procedures and guidelines. Maintains appropriate cash limits, secures cash, and ensures confidential customer information is stored securely. Follows dual‑control procedures and all security and audit measures to minimize potential loss. Utilizes bank tools and processes to detect, address, and prevent fraud. Completes all required in-classroom and online training by established due dates. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED. 6 months work‑related experience preferred; equivalent demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Ability to work during operating hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as scheduled. Demonstrated customer‑service skills preferred. Strong organizational skills. Detail‑oriented. Ability to function in a fast‑paced and changing environment. Excellent communication skills, concise, clear, and consistent. Physical Requirements The role involves frequent and continuous physical tasks, including standing, walking, lifting (under and over 25 lbs.), reaching, and operating standard office equipment.
