Job Title

Travel RN – Med Surg / Telemetry (Nights)

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 20-Week Assignment | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care activities for adult patients across a mixed Medical/Telemetry unit (approximately 50% Medical, 50% Telemetry), including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Maintain patient ratios of approximately 4–6:1 and utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and care coordination
• Work every other full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) as a standard expectation, unless otherwise approved prior to confirmation
• Float to a similar or lower acuity unit as needed
• Function within the scope of nursing practice consistent with applicable state nursing practice standards and established clinical guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold a Missouri RN license
• BLS certification from AHA only
• ACLS certification from AHA only
• NIHSS certification
• Minimum 2+ years of Telemetry nursing experience
• Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1; exemptions must be client approved
• Candidate must be available the entire first week for orientation, which takes place on day shift

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Strong team-oriented mindset with a focus on positive patient outcomes and superior communication skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, mixed Medical/Telemetry environment with adult patient populations
