Boston West Veterinary Emergency and Specialty is seeking a full-time Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our ER team! Compensation

• 25–$30/hr + $5 shift differential
• 30–$35/hr based on knowledge and experience; higher for VTS

Schedule Overnights: Wednesday–Friday, 7p–7a Swings: 10a–10p or 12p–12a. About You A highly skilled and experienced Certified Veterinary Technician who thrives in an ever-changing environment, stays calm under pressure, and can react quickly during life-threatening circumstances. Responsibilities Comprehensive Care: Deliver top-notch care to a diverse range of patients, including postoperative surgical patients, internal medicine cases, ICU patients, and emergency cases. Advanced Technical Skills: From collecting samples to administering medications and calculating dosages, ensure patients receive the best treatment possible. Critical Thinking: Triage critical cases, monitor patient vitals, and promptly report changes to the attending doctor. Empathetic Communication: Educate and update owners on their pet's condition and facilitate smooth patient discharges. Qualifications CVT/LVT/RVT preferred Minimum of 3 years working as a veterinary technician, preferably in ER/ICU medicine Strong technical skills including ER/ICU department-specific skills Attention to detail with strong communication skills with both clients and team members Fluent English (speaking & reading) required; fluency in multiple languages a plus About Us At Boston West, we strive to practice the gold standard of medicine, perform advanced techniques, and be leaders in veterinary medicine.
