Clayton Services is searching for a Quality Support Specialist to join a growing manufacturer in North Houston to support its quality department by maintaining documentation, coordinating project records, and ensuring manufacturing documentation is complete throughout the production process. The Quality Support Specialist position is ideal for someone with strong administrative and document control experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role partners closely with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Project Management to keep quality documentation accurate, organized, and up to date. This is a documentation-focused position and does not involve performing product inspections or testing.

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire Pay Rate: $25.00 - $28.00/hour Benefits: Excellent benefits are available after the successful completion of the temporary period, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and more. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Onsite

Quality Support Specialist Responsibilities:

• Maintain quality records and production documentation throughout each project.
• Organize electronic and paper files to ensure documentation is complete and audit-ready.
• Prepare customer documentation packages for completed projects.
• Coordinate documentation between multiple departments to ensure records remain accurate and current.
• Monitor outstanding documentation requirements and follow up with internal teams as needed.
• Maintain controlled copies of drawings, procedures, forms, and other technical documents.
• Track quality issues and assist with documenting corrective actions and process improvements.
• Maintain equipment calibration records and other departmental logs.
• Update spreadsheets, databases, and internal tracking systems.
• Assist with customer audits and project closeout documentation.
• Support the Quality department with additional administrative responsibilities as assigned.

Quality Support Specialist Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating across multiple departments.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings, Bills of Material (BOMs), or manufacturing documentation is helpful but not required.
• Ability to identify documentation discrepancies and help keep projects on schedule.

Quality Support Specialist Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of administrative, document control, quality support, or manufacturing office experience preferred.
• Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing, fabrication, or electrical equipment environment is highly desirable.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience maintaining technical documents or controlled records is a plus.
