HR Administrator (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Remote (CST or EST time zones only)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Contract Length: 6 months with potential opportunity to convert to permanent
Pay Rate: $30–$34/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced HR Administrator to support day-to-day HR operations for a growing organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys wearing multiple hats, solving problems independently, and supporting employees across a variety of HR functions.

The HR Administrator will play a key role in HR operations, including onboarding, employee support, compliance, benefits administration, HR reporting, and maintaining accurate employee records. The ideal candidate will have strong ADP Workforce Now experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Administration

• Manage the full onboarding process for new hires across the organization and affiliated companies.
• Maintain accurate electronic employee personnel files and HR documentation.
• Support HR inbox management and respond to employee questions regarding HR processes, policies, and systems.
• Provide employees with guidance and support related to HR tools, workflows, and procedures.
• Assist with HR communications and employee engagement initiatives.
• Support quarterly performance management and employee check-in processes.

Compliance & Employee Records

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
• Support compliance reporting, audits, and HR documentation requirements.
• Assist with I-9 compliance, EEO reporting, employment documentation, and required workplace postings.
• Stay current on state-specific employment requirements and compliance changes.
• Support SOC 2 compliance initiatives, including preparation efforts for SOC 2 Type II.

Benefits & Leave Support

• Assist employees with benefits-related questions and HR processes.
• Support life event changes, off-cycle enrollment activities, and benefits administration.
• Provide guidance related to leave processes, including FMLA questions.

HR Systems & Reporting

• Serve as an ADP Workforce Now super user and resource for employees and HR team members.
• Run and maintain HR reports to support business needs.
• Utilize Excel for reporting, data analysis, and HR tracking.
• Assist with HR system processes and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HR experience with a strong HR operations background.
• Advanced experience with ADP Workforce Now (required).
• Strong Excel skills and experience with HR reporting and analytics.
• Experience supporting benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Comfortable working in a smaller organization where you can make an immediate impact.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Cornerstone OnDemand (LMS).
• Experience with iSIMS or similar HR systems.
• Experience supporting SOC 2 compliance initiatives.
