RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 3x12 hour schedule with weekend requirement of either every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 (must be comfortable with 1:5 ratio)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Provide care for adult patients with neurological conditions including neurosurgical recovery, stroke management, and neuro-specific diagnoses
• Unit includes 5 dedicated beds for continuous 24-hour epilepsy monitoring
• Clinical skills required: cardiac monitoring, emergency response, IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, central/peripheral line care
• Medication administration including cardiac drips (no titration)
• Respiratory support including nasal cannula, O2 administration, and non-invasive airway management
• Participate in Rapid Response and isolation precautions
• Floating required to units within clinical skillset
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Active Virginia State or Compact RN license required
• 48 hours of orientation provided
• Modules completed during first week averaging 2-8.5 hours
