Human Resources GeneralistThe Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources (HR) department. This position manages a variety of administrative and HR functions, including maintaining personnel, I-9, and medical files; coordinating and scheduling employee training; supporting recruitment and onboarding activities; and ensuring compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable employment laws and regulations.Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 (Depending on Experience)Essential Position Functions Include The Following:Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, HIPAA, CPR, First Aid and AED, and Language Access.Manage new employee pre-onboarding and orientation, including but not limited to: benefits sign-up, including all forms, health and life insurance, and tax forms.Ensure timely setup and training for new staff in the timesheet and payroll system; Ensure accuracy of all data.Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirementsConducts or acquires background checks, drug test, and TB test for required positions.Personnel data verification on W-2 forms for employeesManage TCP commuter benefit plan: ensure timely enrollment and termination as well as deduction changesPerforms routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Chief Human Resources Officer.Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.Other duties assigned as deemed appropriateMandatory RequirementsEducation And ExperienceBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.Required Skills And Abilities:Advanced computer literacy and expertise with software used in a typical office environment, e.g., Microsoft Office suite products, Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint to create and maintain reports and logsExcellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally to a wide range of audiences (customers, co-workers, managers, the public, stakeholders, etc.) face-to-face, virtually, or via telephone or other communication devices to elicit informationExcellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentialityThorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulationsProficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systemsAbility to operate basic office equipmentOutstanding organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize and multitaskMust be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely mannerMust be able to gather and analyze information thoroughly and skillfullyMust have great listening skills and the ability to work well with people at various levels inside and outside of TCPAbility to work independently and function well as part of a teamExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesWorking Conditions And Physical Requirements:Ability to exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone, operate a computer keyboard, and handle paper documentsAbility to enter data and/or information into a computerAbility to understand written and/or oral instructionsAbility to read a computer screen and printed materials with or without vision aidsPhysical ability to bend, stoop, climb stairs, and reach overheadProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerApplication ProcessApply for this position through the TCP career center Recruitment (adp.com)Your response to this job announcement may be considered for other similar available positions within The Community Partnership.Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.No phone calls.TCP has a mandatory COVID19 Vaccination (and booster) Policy.
