Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity involves overseeing the daily operations of a specialty oral dispensing pharmacy, ensuring safe and accurate medication dispensing, and supporting patient access to needed therapies. This role requires managing everything from prescription clinical reviews to patient counseling, while coordinating with healthcare professionals and handling pharmacy compliance.

Assignment Details:

• Location: Chicago, IL
• Contract Length: 13+ weeks
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Setting: Specialty Pharmacy

Key Responsibilities:

• Fill and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Verify medication orders and process prescriptions in compliance with regulations
• Run pharmacy reports to monitor inventory and workflow
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in daily tasks
• Assist with daily operations to ensure smooth pharmacy functioning
• Coordinate benefits investigation, prior authorizations, and financial assistance programs
• Provide patient counseling and follow-up to optimize medication use
• Maintain adherence to pharmacy laws, standards, policies, and procedures

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active and clear Illinois Pharmacist License is required
• Background in mid/oral dispensing specialty pharmacy
• Proven experience in pharmacy operations and medication dispensing
• Ability to work independently and oversee pharmacy support staff effectively
• Strong collaboration skills with prescribers, payers, and healthcare teams
