Maintenance Technician

Job Description Superior Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time or part-time Maintenance Technician to work alongside our veterinarians, technicians and support staff to maintain our animal care environment. Schedule Monday through Friday, 7am-3pm. Weather may affect arrival and departure times. Snow removal is part of the job, including clearing sidewalks and paths prior to 7:30am surgery drop‑offs. Requirements Must be able to lift 60 pounds and work on feet, bending, lifting, and kneeling. Responsibilities Maintain daily cleanliness of the hospital: sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and emptying trash. Clean equipment and facilities using chemicals, ensuring safe use of chemicals. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly tasks to keep the hospital clean, equipment functional, and overall appearance presentable. Maintain kennel, grooming, and hospital laundry. Maintain grounds, waste disposal, light landscaping upkeep, and general building maintenance. Manage non‑medical inventory and notify Practice Manager of purchase needs. Notify Practice Manager of major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilation equipment. Perform minor maintenance jobs: painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and related activities. Clean snow and debris from sidewalks, mow lawn, trim shrubbery, and cultivate flowers using hand or power tools. Tend furnace, air conditioner, and boiler as needed to provide heat, cool air, and hot water. #J-18808-Ljbffr
