Cardiac Interventional Technologist II

About The Job MedStar Health is looking for a Cardiac Intervention Technologist II to join our team at Medstar Franklin Square Hospital. This role includes a limited‑time $10,000 sign‑on bonus. Primary Duties Administer contrast media into coronary arteries per cardiologist directions during cardiac catheterization. Monitor patient vitals and recognize pathology and arrhythmias to determine appropriate pressure of each injection. Provide patient care before, during, and after procedures. Act as first assistant to the physician – scrub independently, aid in manipulation and placement of guide wires and catheters. Schedule and maintain orderly patient flow, maintain supplies and inventory, order supplies, and record data in RIS and hospital computer systems. Perform hemodynamic monitoring, record calculations, and conduct electrophysiology and ablation procedures. Operate imaging equipment (digital, pressure injectors, processors, rapid film changers, cine) to produce high‑quality diagnostic images. Perform pre‑procedural duties (sterile tray prep, patient education, lab work confirmation) and post‑procedural duties (observe catheter site, provide discharge instructions, transport patient). Respond to on‑call emergencies as per policy. Qualifications Completion of an AMA‑approved school of Radiologic Technology (minimum 2 years). 2 years of experience in diagnostic radiology. Experience in interventional radiology/cardiac catheterization or equivalent. American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification or registration. Radiology Technologist license in the State of Maryland. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or eligibility. Salary USD $42.82 – USD $71.16 per hour. #J-18808-Ljbffr MedStar Health
