Position Overview The IT Systems Support Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization's technology environment, including end-user devices, Microsoft 365 services, business applications, networking equipment, and security controls. Based in Foxboro, Massachusetts, this role provides hands-on technical support for local employees while collaborating with IT colleagues across the global organization. The ideal candidate is user-focused, technically curious, and comfortable working across a broad range of technologies. This position offers the opportunity to develop skills in cloud technologies, cybersecurity, automation, and infrastructure while supporting the day-to-day operations of a growing global business. Key Responsibilities End-User Support and Equipment Provide day-to-day technical support for employees' hardware, software, operating system , connectivity, printing, and peripheral issues. Set up, configure, deploy, and maintain laptops, mobile phones, monitors, and other employee technology. Install and deploy approved software and assist with Windows updates and standard endpoint configurations. Support conference room technology and help employees use company systems effectively. Maintain IT asset s , equipment assignments , and inventory records. User Accounts and Microsoft Services Support employee onboarding, role changes, and offboarding, including account setup, access changes, equipment preparation, and equipment return. Perform routine administration and support for Microsoft 365, identity services, and endpoint management under established procedures. Assist employees with access, authentication, email, collaboration tools, and mobile-device issues. Follow access control , approval, and least privilege requirements. Infrastructure and Business Systems Support Assist with the operation and maintenance of local network, Wi-Fi, VPN, server-room, and related office technology. Monitor routine system alerts, backups, and scheduled IT activities and elevate issues when needed. Provide support for business applications and coordinate with senior IT staff, vendors, or application owners when issues require additional expertise. Assist with technology upgrades, office changes, equipment replacements, and new-system rollouts. Security and Compliance Support Follow company cybersecurity policies and established IT procedures. Assist with reported security incidents, vulnerability remediation, endpoint security activities, and user follow-up. Help maintain technical documentation and evidence needed for security and compliance activities. Protect company information and promptly raise suspected security or data protection concerns. Documentation and Improvement Create and maintain support procedures, setup guides, and knowledge- base articles. Identify recurring support issues and recommend practical process improvements. Use PowerShell or other scripting tools to automate routine tasks when appropriate and with guidance from senior IT staff. Collaborate with global IT colleagues and communicate status, risks, and support needs clearly. Education and Experience Associate's or bachelor's degree in Information Technology , Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Two or more years of experience providing technical support in a business or enterprise IT environment. Experience supporting Windows computers, Microsoft 365 applications, user accounts, and common office technology. Experience troubleshooting issues directly with employees and documenting the actions taken. Technical Qualifications Working knowledge of Apple products, Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and common desktop hardware and software. Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Azure, or similar cloud and endpoint-management technologies. Basic understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPN, IP addressing, and network troubleshooting. Basic knowledge of cybersecurity practices, endpoint protection, vulnerability remediation, backup, and recovery. Exposure to Windows Server, firewalls, VLANs, or ISO 27001 practices is helpful but not required . Core Competencies User-focused approach and professional communication. Practical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to follow established procedures while knowing when to elevate. Strong organization, documentation, and follow-through. Attention to detail and a security-conscious mindset. Ability to work independently on routine assignments and collaborate with a global IT team. Work Environment and Physical Requirements This is a Foxboro-based hybrid role requiring regular onsite presence to support employees, equipment, conference room technology, and local infrastructure. The specific onsite schedule may vary based on business and support needs and may include occasional visits to other Massachusetts locations , including Marlborough and Cambridge. The role may involve occasional work in a server room and the offsite data center, setup and movement of standard end-user technology equipment, and up to 10% travel within Massachusetts.
