Job Description As a Security Officer Educational Patrol Detail in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.35 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon03:00 PM - 11:00 PMTue03:00 PM - 11:00 PMWed03:00 PM - 11:00 PMThur03:00 PM - 11:00 PMFri03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access support, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate details to Allied Universal leadership and/or local contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help deter unauthorized access, support visitor processing, and follow location policies for after‑hours activity. Document incidents, observations, and security‑related concerns in required reports, and assist with directions, escorts, and other customer service requests as appropriate. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 21 years of age. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
