Summary: Weareseekingapragmatic,hands-onCorporateCounseltosupportourlegalandbusinessoperations.Thisroleisidealforanattorneywithexperienceinconstructionlaw,litigation,andcorporatematters,includinglaborwithbroadexposureacrossagrowingcompanyratherthananarrowpracticearea.Youwillserveasakeylegalresourceacrossdepartments,advisingonday-to-daymattersandhelpingthebusinessmoveefficientlywhilemanagingrisk. KeyResponsibilities: Manageandsupportlitigationinvolvinginsurancecoverageorconstructionclaims,workingwithexternalcounselasnecessaryandfilingliensasnecessary Leadcollection/lienenforcementandnegotiatingwithinsurancecarriersandopposingcounsel. Review,draft,andnegotiatecontracts,subcontractagreements,andlabor-relatedagreements,ensuringalignmentwithcompanyinterestsandlegalrequirements. Assistinthedevelopmentandimplementationofinternalpoliciesandproceduresregardingbusinessandemploymentmatters. Collaboratewithvariousdepartments,includingfinance,humanresources,andoperations,toassistwithlegalneeds. Qualifications: JurisDoctor(JD)fromanaccreditedlawschoolandactivemembershipintheCaliforniaStateBarrequiredattimeofstart. Aminimumof3+yearsofexperienceinconstructionlaw,insurancelaw,commerciallitigation,realestatelaw,creditor-debtorlaw,orarelatedfield. FamiliaritywithemploymentlawandHR-relatedlegalmatters. Excellentdrafting,negotiation,andcommunicationskills. Aproactiveandsolution-orientedapproachtolegalissues.
