Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct both in-person and virtual counseling sessions tailored to individuals, couples, families, or groups as needed, ensuring that therapy is accessible and effective regardless of setting.

• Utilize a range of evidence-based practices in offering therapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques. Adapt your approach based on the unique needs and circumstances of each client.

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health conditions, proactively identifying issues and developing strategies for intervention.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that include both traditional and alternative therapeutic approaches to foster comprehensive healing.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including oncologists, social workers, and support staff, to ensure holistic care and seamless communication about clients' needs and progress.

• Stay current on the latest research and advancements in mental health care to continually enhance practices and provide exceptional service to clients.

• Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date client records, documenting all therapy sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes to support treatment efficacy and compliance with professional standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role is specifically focused on providing mental health counseling for individuals affected by cancer across different phases, including those recently diagnosed, living with cancer, experiencing recurrence, facing end-of-life issues, and those in survivorship. As a counselor, you will play a crucial role in guiding these individuals and their caregivers through the complex emotions and challenges they face.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field is essential.

• Current licensure is required for practice as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington, including LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW.

• Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in an outpatient mental health setting.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; the ability to listen actively and foster open dialogues is fundamental for this role.

• No history of medical malpractice claims, which must be verified by a third party.

• Authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
