Key Responsibilities\n

The Virtual Mental Health Counselor will engage in a variety of essential tasks, which include:

• Providing supportive counseling and therapeutic interventions tailored to the individual needs of cancer patients and their families.

• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans that incorporate both evidence-based and alternative therapeutic modalities.

• Facilitating support groups and therapeutic sessions focused on coping strategies for patients at different stages of their cancer journey.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary medical team to ensure a coordinated approach to holistic patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position specifically focuses on providing mental health support to individuals diagnosed with cancer—regardless of the phase they are in, whether it be diagnosis, treatment, recurrence, or survivorship. You will work closely not only with patients but also with their caregivers, ensuring they receive comprehensive emotional and psychological support during this challenging time.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.

• Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington State.

• An established track record free from Medical Malpractice Claims, verified through third-party checks.

• Eligibility to work in the United States.
