Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and trauma history.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that promote trauma recovery, resilience, and ongoing personal development.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and foster a healing environment.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for all clients.

• Provide crisis intervention support as needed during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring timely and compassionate assistance.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources within the community.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in adherence to state and federal regulations, ensuring clients' information is securely handled.

• Participate in case consultations, professional development workshops, and team meetings focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay abreast of recent research and best practices relevant to trauma therapy to continuously improve client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role predominantly involves working with individuals who are healing from trauma, including adults navigating PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our clients often seek support for various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and emotional dysregulation, all of which are intricately tied to their traumatic experiences. Your expertise will play a vital role in helping them achieve their therapeutic goals.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, particularly in trauma-informed care.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities specific to this population.

• Outstanding interpersonal communication skills; ability to create a warm, respectful atmosphere for clients.

• Demonstrated proficiency in crisis intervention and the management of high-stress situations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
