This position is fully remote, utilizing telehealth platforms to deliver mental health services while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Working from your own home office, you will be equipped with the necessary tools to conduct assessments and therapy sessions digitally. Our organization values work-life balance and provides a flexible schedule predominantly from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with adjustment possibilities based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s unique trauma history and tailor treatment approaches accordingly.

• Design, implement, and revise individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering trauma recovery, resilience, and overall mental well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to promote healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, enabling patients to process trauma, develop essential coping strategies, and engage in healing practices.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals for integrated patient care, ensuring that all facets of an individual's health are addressed.

• Provide crisis intervention and support for patients during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating poise and skill in high-pressure situations.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, healthy coping mechanisms, and utilize community resources for extended support.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, integrating new knowledge into therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on patients who have encountered traumatic experiences, including survivors of abuse, combat veterans, and individuals dealing with significant loss or life changes. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R within the state of New York.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and expertise in trauma-informed treatment practices.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills coupled with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficiency in utilizing EHR systems and telehealth technology to facilitate patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience working in a mental health counseling capacity, particularly with trauma-affected populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
