Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history and identify effective treatment pathways tailored to their specific needs.

• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery and resilience-building, incorporating the latest evidence-based techniques.

• Utilize proven therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate patient healing.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process traumatic memories, develop coping strategies, and enhance emotional regulation.

• Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless integration of care and address all facets of a patient's mental and physical health.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during emergencies or acute trauma responses, demonstrating expertise in high-pressure situations.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, manage expectations regarding treatment progress, and guide them towards available resources.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines to ensure accountability and quality of care.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development workshops focused on trauma-informed care best practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy and integrate new knowledge into clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of your practice will be on individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, ranging from historical personal trauma to acute traumatic incidents. You will work with patients struggling with disorders such as PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, offering them the support they need to recover and thrive. Building trust and rapport will be essential, as your therapeutic relationship can significantly influence their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York.

• Demonstrated understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and strategies for resilience-building.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
