Family Matters Health Care Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate licensed mental health therapist to join our team. This full-time role focuses on providing specialized mental health care to individuals affected by trauma, with an emphasis on treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders.

Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexible working arrangements while maintaining regular communication with the clinical team via telehealth platforms. Our outpatient office promotes a collaborative approach, ensuring that you have the support of your peers and access to ongoing training and resources. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' past experiences and determine appropriate treatment methodologies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building, tailoring approaches to meet the unique needs of each patient.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in both individual and group therapy settings.

• Facilitate therapy sessions designed to support patients in processing their trauma, developing effective coping strategies, and promoting overall healing and wellness.
\n
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients feel safe and supported during challenging times.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to enhance understanding and engagement in their treatment.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation that meets legal and ethical standards while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to discussions aimed at improving trauma-informed care practices.

• Continue professional development by staying up to date with the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on supporting individuals who are survivors of trauma, encompassing a range of experiences that affect their mental health and overall well-being. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, and adults, each dealing with varying manifestations of trauma. Your work will be instrumental in helping them navigate their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California is essential.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting focused on trauma-related disorders is preferred.

• Thorough knowledge of trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-focused approaches to mental health care.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental attitude towards clients.
\n
• Adeptness in remaining calm and composed during high-stress situations, demonstrating effective crisis management capabilities.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

• Ability to collaborate and function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with a deep understanding of trauma and its impact on mental health, along with a proven record of utilizing trauma-focused therapeutic interventions, will be favored. Experience in facilitating group therapy and working with diverse populations will also strengthen your application.

Compensation and Benefits\n
