Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories, psychological needs, and readiness for change.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at empowering clients through trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to effectively address symptoms and enhance recovery.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding clients in processing their trauma, learning coping mechanisms, and advocating for their mental health needs.

• Engage in close collaboration with psychiatrists, case managers, and other professionals to establish coordinated care approaches for each client.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Actively educate clients and their families about trauma responses, available coping resources, and community support networks.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient interactions, treatment progress, and adherence to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations, interdisciplinary meetings, and ongoing professional development to refine skills in trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals who have experienced trauma, including survivors of abuse, neglect, and interpersonal violence. Your expertise will help clients to address and overcome complex trauma, PTSD, and associated dissociative disorders within a trusting, client-centered framework. Your compassion, patience, and understanding will greatly support their journey towards recovery and empowerment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience providing mental health counseling services is preferred.

• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and experience with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proven ability to deliver trauma-focused therapies and interventions effectively.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, along with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer applications for documentation and communication purposes.

Compensation and Benefits\n
