Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments, taking into account each patient's unique trauma history to inform treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that focus on recovery, resilience-building, and the unique needs of trauma survivors.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to effectively address trauma-related disorders.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that enable patients to process their traumatic experiences, develop coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure patients receive comprehensive and integrated mental health care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to support recovery.

• Maintain meticulous documentation and patient records according to legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with trauma survivors, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patients represent a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences, requiring a sensitive and individualized approach to therapy.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, with a focus on trauma recovery preferred.

• Expertise in trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Demonstrated experience implementing trauma-focused therapies.

• Strong communication skills, with a commitment to offering non-judgmental and empathetic support to patients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
