Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' histories and current mental health status, forming the basis for individualized treatment plans.

• Design and implement evidence-based, individualized treatment strategies aimed at trauma recovery, focusing on effective modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for clients to explore their trauma, develop coping strategies, and foster resilience.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive, integrated treatment for each client.

• Provide crisis intervention and support, particularly during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating adaptability and calmness under pressure.

• Educate clients and their family members on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to enhance support systems.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, ensuring continuity of care and compliance.

• Engage in case consultations and professional development, staying informed about the latest trauma therapy research and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced trauma in its various forms, including those with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role will involve building trusting relationships with clients, helping them navigate their unique recovery paths and empowering them with effective coping strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey is essential.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and an understanding of trauma-informed treatment modalities are critical.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and treatment planning.

• A collaborative spirit is necessary, as you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two years of post-licensure experience providing trauma-focused therapies is preferred.

• Experience in delivering group therapy sessions and facilitating supportive discussions among peers is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between USD 80,000 and USD 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
