In this full-time role, you will deliver specialized mental health care to individuals affected by trauma, utilizing telehealth to provide high-quality therapy from the comfort of their homes. Work Environment\n

This position operates within a remote telehealth framework, allowing you to interact with patients via secure virtual platforms. Our digital infrastructure supports efficient communication and collaboration within our team, enabling us to provide integrated services to our patients. Your work schedule will primarily be Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility required based on patient needs. This adaptability helps us cater to the varying schedules and requirements of our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and develop individualized treatment strategies.

• Create and implement treatment plans focused on trauma recovery and resilience, tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective recovery.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe and supportive space for patients to process their trauma and develop coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for each patient.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, available resources, and effective coping mechanisms to foster understanding and resilience.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations and professional development activities aimed at enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to inform your therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be to support individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including survivors of childhood abuse, domestic violence, and other distressing life events. You will leverage telehealth platforms to provide tailored interventions, reaching clients who may be hesitant to seek in-person assistance. By creating a safe and open virtual space, you will empower clients to confront their past, develop coping mechanisms, and work towards healing.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience, ideally in a clinical setting focused on trauma.
\n
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, showcasing a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• Proficient use of electronic health records (EHR) systems and technology integration in therapy.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
