Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Perform thorough initial interviews and mental health evaluations to determine client needs, documenting findings to track progress throughout treatment.

• Develop Tailored Treatment Plans: Create and implement customized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, and families, ensuring alignment with best practices in mental health counseling.

• Facilitate Therapeutic Sessions: Lead individual and group therapy sessions to facilitate healing and growth, applying a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to each client's circumstances.

• Monitor Treatment Progress: Regularly evaluate and document client progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs and goals.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to optimize client care and ensure comprehensive support.

• Family Involvement: Provide guidance and support to family members and caregivers to help them understand and manage mental health challenges effectively.

• Referral Management: Facilitate and manage referrals to other specialists or services as needed, ensuring continuity of care for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse client base, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and other mental health disorders. Your role will not only focus on treating mental health conditions but also aim to empower clients to build resilience and implement coping strategies that promote long-term wellbeing.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, to effectively manage client information and documentation.
\n
• Expert understanding of the physiological and emotional complexities of mental health conditions and addiction disorders.
\n
• Commitment to upholding the standards and ethics outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with a demonstrated capacity for building trustworthy relationships with clients.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, characterized by empathy, patience, and a compassionate nature.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a mental health counselor, preferably in a telehealth or outpatient setting.

• Familiarity with evidenced-based therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).

• A strong understanding of substance use disorders and related treatment strategies.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
