Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations, documenting client histories and behaviors from the first consultation to treatment completion.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at addressing the specific mental and emotional needs of clients.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that promote healing, skill development, and coping strategies.

• Closely monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet ongoing needs and goals.

• Collaborate effectively with a network of healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Provide essential follow-up with clients who have been referred to inpatient services, ensuring continuity of care upon their return.

• Assist family members and primary caregivers in navigating mental and behavioral challenges associated with their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will involve working primarily with adults and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your expertise will be crucial in helping diverse client populations, thereby contributing to their overall recovery and well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong background in mental health counseling, showcasing your ability to support a wide range of mental health conditions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in working with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Familiarity with the treatment of co-occurring disorders and an understanding of addiction’s impact on mental health.

• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) standards and best practices.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, paired with excellent interpersonal skills that display empathy and understanding.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
