Work Environment\n

While you will primarily work remotely, our outpatient office in Jersey City serves as a hub for collaborative team efforts and client interactions as needed. The structure of our practice allows for a balanced work life with flexibility to adapt to patient needs. Your schedule will typically be Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some potential for slight adjustments informed by client requirements.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to thoroughly evaluate patients' trauma histories and collaboratively identify effective treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that are carefully tailored to the unique needs of each client, promoting trauma recovery and resilience-building.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support clients in processing trauma.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients develop coping strategies, achieve emotional regulation, and promote healing.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care continuity for all clients.

• Provide crisis intervention as needed, ensuring clients receive timely support during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and resources available for additional support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards, contributing to the integrity of client care.

• Engage actively in case consultations and team meetings to discuss patient progress and foster a culture of learning and improvement.

• Continuously update your knowledge on the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy and mental health practices.

Your primary focus will be on clients who are trauma survivors, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. By creating individualized treatment plans and utilizing a trauma-informed lens, you will work directly with these clients to foster meaningful connections and promote healing in a safe environment.

Qualifications\n

• Educational Requirement: Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Licensure: Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

Compensation and Benefits\n
