Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments using applicable psychological tools to evaluate patients’ experiences and establish appropriate treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, empowerment, and developing resilience in clients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients in processing their traumatic experiences, developing healthy coping mechanisms, and fostering personal growth.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and case managers, to provide comprehensive and coordinated care for all clients.

• Respond to crisis situations and provide immediate support and intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive timely and appropriate assistance.

• Provide education to patients and their families regarding trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources to enhance their support network.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring all patient records are accurate and up-to-date.

• Engage regularly in team consultations, professional development, and training focused on trauma-informed care practices, fostering a culture of learning within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on supporting trauma survivors, including those experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and other mental health challenges rooted in traumatic experiences. You will work with diverse individuals from varying backgrounds, tailoring your therapeutic approach to meet their specific cultural and emotional needs, thereby fostering a sense of trust and understanding.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current, valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health counseling, specifically in trauma-focused environments, is preferred.
\n
• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders, therapeutic modalities, and resilience-building strategies.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, displayed through a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to proficiently utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms for delivering care.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is required, candidates with advanced training or certifications in trauma therapies or diverse therapeutic modalities will be highly regarded. Experience in group therapy facilitation and a strong understanding of crisis intervention tactics are also preferred, as they will enhance your ability to support our clients effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n
