Work Environment\n

This role will primarily operate in a remote setting, eliminating the need for daily commuting while ensuring you have the resources and support needed to thrive. Our flexible scheduling fosters a balanced work-life dynamic, with core working hours set for Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. While some flexibility is expected based on patient needs, the structure allows our therapists to maintain productivity without compromising personal well-being.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain insight into patients' trauma histories and determine tailored treatment pathways.

• Design and execute individualized treatment plans targeting trauma recovery, utilizing techniques that promote resilience and healing.

• Offer evidence-based therapeutic interventions including, but not limited to, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), honing a specialized focus on trauma wellness.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, facilitating therapeutic dialogues that enable patients to process their experiences, develop coping strategies, and embark on their healing journeys.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, to coordinate integrated care that addresses the mental health needs of patients holistically.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and stability.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, enhancing their understanding and resilience through information about coping mechanisms and available resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation following legal and ethical standards to uphold patient privacy and continuity of care.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development activities aimed at furthering trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have been affected by trauma, including those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and related dissociative disorders. By employing a trauma-informed care approach, you will play a critical role in creating a therapeutic environment that meets the specific needs of each patient, facilitating their journey toward recovery and personal agency.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) within the state of New Jersey.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling capacity is preferred.

• Deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions effectively.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress scenarios, ensuring a calm presence for patients in crisis.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications essential for documentation and patient management.
