Stem Psychological Center is in search of a dedicated and empathetic Trauma-Informed Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our practice. In this full-time position, you will utilize your skills and knowledge to deliver comprehensive mental health care, focusing on clients who have been affected by trauma. This role is primarily remote, offering the flexibility of working from home while also facilitating in-person sessions at our Hillsboro outpatient office as needed. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand each patient's history and current challenges, guiding treatment planning.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on resilience and recovery from trauma, aligning with evidence-based practices.

• Administer therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to the needs of each patient.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe space for clients to express their feelings, learn coping mechanisms, and work through their trauma experiences.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for each patient.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support for clients in distress, employing effective de-escalation strategies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about the impacts of trauma, available coping strategies, and community resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards.

• Engage with ongoing professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care, integrating the latest research and methodologies into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our focus is on individuals who are navigating the complexities of trauma. You will work primarily with clients experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Understanding the sensitive nature of these conditions, you will be instrumental in guiding patients towards recovery by utilizing trauma-informed strategies that honor their unique experiences and promote safety and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is required, showing a robust application of therapeutic practices in a clinical setting.

• Strong background in trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed care approaches.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate and understanding demeanor when interacting with patients.

• Capability to remain composed in high-stress and crisis situations, ensuring client safety and support.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer software applications.
\n
• A collaborative mindset, able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

Preferred candidates will have experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and ideally will possess specialized training in distinct therapeutic modalities related to trauma recovery. Additional experience in working with diverse populations and cultural competence will greatly enhance your ability to serve our clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
