This full-time role is remote, allowing counselors to work from the comfort of their homes while communicating with clients through our advanced telehealth platform. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting in-depth, trauma-informed assessments to understand each patient's trauma history and identify effective therapeutic interventions.

• Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies tailored to each patient's needs.

• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to support clients in processing trauma, building coping mechanisms, and improving emotional regulation.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring that all aspects of patient well-being are addressed.

• Providing crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, offering immediate assistance to clients in distress.

• Educating patients and their families about the effects of trauma, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources to assist in their recovery.

• Maintaining accurate, confidential documentation that adheres to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Participating in regular case consultations and team meetings, contributing to discussions that enhance our trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals coping with trauma-related disorders, including veterans, survivors of domestic violence, and those experiencing various forms of emotional distress rooted in adverse life experiences. This role is particularly suited for those who are passionate about making a profound difference in the lives of trauma survivors and who understand the unique challenges they face.

Qualifications\n

The successful candidate will possess:

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

• Evidence of strong knowledge about trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building strategies.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that reflect a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications to maintain patient records and documentation.

• The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to our clinic's mission.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years' experience in the field is required, candidates with additional years of post-licensure experience are encouraged to apply. Experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions will be viewed favorably, as will familiarity with a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n
