Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while utilizing telehealth technologies to connect with clients. Our telehealth platform is designed to facilitate effective communication and therapeutic engagement, ensuring that you can provide the highest level of care. While the standard work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, we understand the importance of flexibility to meet the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to explore patients’ trauma histories and develop tailored treatment approaches.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, empowerment, and resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support patient healing.

• Facilitate and lead both individual and group therapy sessions, helping patients process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and available coping resources.

• Maintain clear and precise documentation adhering to legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings, contributing to a culture of continuous professional development and insight-sharing.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our therapeutic services specifically target individuals grappling with the effects of trauma, including PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. As a therapist within our organization, you will work closely with adult clients who have experienced varying degrees of emotional distress due to traumatic experiences. You will play a pivotal role in their personal journeys towards healing and recovery, leveraging your skills to support them in overcoming obstacles associated with their mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, demonstrating capability in trauma-informed care.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and various trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate with empathy and compassion.

• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and relevant technology to facilitate telehealth services.

Compensation and Benefits\n
