Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each client's trauma history.

• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to promote recovery and resilience.

• Utilize effective therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on helping clients process trauma and develop coping strategies.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and fellow professionals to ensure integrated care that meets the diverse needs of patients.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies and assist patients in developing robust coping skills.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and the resources available to aid in their recovery.

• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities that enrich your skills in trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patients primarily include individuals experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a profound understanding of these challenges and the resilience-building processes necessary for patient recovery. You will be instrumental in guiding clients toward healing and empowerment, helping them reclaim their lives from the effects of trauma.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and a thorough understanding of trauma-informed treatment techniques.

• Demonstrated experience with trauma-focused therapeutic interventions is crucial.

• Possession of excellent communication and interpersonal skills, employing a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• The ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations and improve patient outcomes through solid relationship-building.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly in trauma-informed settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
