Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to ascertain patients' histories and to identify tailored therapeutic approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience building, and overall psychological well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), to enhance treatment efficacy.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process trauma and cultivate effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals, including psychiatrists, to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for all patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating a calm and methodical approach to high-stress situations.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and available resources, promoting informed decision-making in their treatment journey.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in line with both legal and ethical standards while using electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

• Engage actively in case consultations and team discussions to optimize best practices in trauma-informed care.

• Commit to continuous professional development by staying informed on the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to support individuals impacted by trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and associated dissociative disorders. Our clients often seek our services following significant life crises, such as abuse, loss, or major life transitions. As a therapist, you will play an instrumental role in guiding these individuals through their healing processes, empowering them with the tools necessary to manage their mental health effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must hold current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment strategies.
\n
• Proficient in delivering trauma-focused therapy techniques as well as familiarity with various evidence-based practices.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a strengths-based approach to patient interactions.
\n
• A calm demeanor and the ability to maintain composure during crises.
\n
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous.
\n
• A collaborative mindset essential for working effectively within a multidisciplinary team atmosphere.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of relevant post-licensure clinical experience is preferred.

• Specialized training in trauma-specific interventions will be regarded favorably.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
