Key Responsibilities\n

In this position, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and formulate appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental health improvement.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective therapeutic interventions.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients in processing their trauma experiences, building coping mechanisms, and fostering recovery.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention support in high-stress scenarios associated with trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating professionalism and composure.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources related to mental health.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation adhering to legal and ethical standards to ensure compliance and uphold patient trust.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals affected by trauma, including those experiencing PTSD and other trauma-related disorders. You will engage with a diverse client base, providing tailored interventions that acknowledge the unique experiences and cultural backgrounds of each patient. Supporting clients in navigating their recovery journeys will be central to your role.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, fostering trust and compassion with clients.

• A calm demeanor during high-stress situations and the ability to think critically in crisis responses.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to track patient progress and maintain documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are preferred:
