Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments for clients, thoroughly evaluating their trauma histories and establishing tailored treatment plans.

• Implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, utilizing evidence-based interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding clients through the healing process by developing coping mechanisms and promoting resilience.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members for integrated care and to enhance treatment outcomes.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients have access to timely assistance.

• Deliver educational resources to clients and their families, helping them understand trauma responses, coping strategies, and available external resources.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of client interactions in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to further enhance trauma-informed care within our practice.

• Stay informed about the latest advancements in trauma therapy and integrate new practices into client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position particularly focuses on individuals impacted by trauma, including those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. The therapist will work closely with clients from diverse backgrounds, respecting their unique experiences and addressing their specific therapeutic needs. An integral part of your role will be to empower clients on their journey to recovery by guiding them through tailored therapeutic interventions that resonate with their personal experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience working within the mental health field, particularly with trauma-informed frameworks.

• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, complemented by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Peaceful Moments Counseling Services offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 per year, aligned with experience and qualifications.
