Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history and determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and the unique needs of each client.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing and coping strategies.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma experiences and cultivate effective coping mechanisms.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and holistic care for patients.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support for clients in trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available support resources.

• Maintain accurate and secure patient documentation in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse range of patients who have experienced various forms of trauma. Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and active licensure in New York as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R.
