Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' trauma histories and identify suitable treatment approaches.

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience building, and restoration of well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that help patients process their trauma experiences and develop effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated care and comprehensive treatment for all patients.

• Provide crisis intervention support to patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective assistance.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping skills, and available resources to enhance their understanding and recovery journey.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with pertinent legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and training sessions focused on trauma-informed care and best practices.

• Keep current with the latest research in trauma therapy to provide cutting-edge support to patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including, but not limited to, those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your therapeutic approach should remain empathetic and client-centered, adapting to the unique needs of each patient while fostering an atmosphere of safety and trust.

Qualifications\n

Candidates must possess a Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Additionally, you need to be currently licensed as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in Florida.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates to have a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, specifically in trauma-informed treatment. Familiarity with trauma-related disorders, therapeutic modalities related to trauma recovery, and knowledge of resilience-building practices are strongly desired. Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain composure during high-stress situations are essential for success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually.
